From April 8 to 10, 2026, Anastasia Parkhomenko, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Psychology of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference for Students, Postgraduates, and Young Scholars titled “Psychology of the 21st Century: The Future Becomes the Present.”

Organized by Saint Petersburg State University with the support of the Saint Petersburg Psychological Society, this conference is one of Russia’s earliest and most respected youth forums in psychology. It traditionally brings together a diverse cohort of emerging professionals from across Russia and abroad. Over three intensive days, future psychologists engaged in thematic sessions, roundtable discussions, and hands-on masterclasses.
Anastasia presented her research paper in the “Educational Psychology” section under the title “Contemporary Students’ Conceptions of Happiness across Educational Levels.” The study was prepared under the academic supervision of A. A. Gudzovskaya, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Psychology.
“I’d never participated in an event like this before, so it was a completely new—and uniquely rewarding—experience,” Anastasia shared.
“I presented my research, received positive feedback from the review committee, and had the chance to listen to my peers’ presentations. The emotions were truly extraordinary! Now I’m eagerly awaiting the publication of my abstract in the conference proceedings, which are indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). I’m deeply grateful to Samara University for providing such a wonderful opportunity for professional growth!”
